About the Role
Practice Law. We’ll Handle the Rest. You’re a courtroom-ready advocate who wins for families, but solo or small-firm practice has buried you in administrative work. At the Law Office of Bryan Fagan, our intake team signs the clients, our billing team handles the collections, and our systems take care of the overhead. That leaves you free to prepare, advocate and win. This opportunity is with our great team in our Austin office.
Responsibilities
- Set the Strategy: Lead contested and non-contested divorces, child custody, adoptions, SAPCRs, modifications, protective orders and other family case matters.
- Own the Courtroom: Represent clients in the surrounding counties and courts with confidence and clarity.
- Litigate at a High Level: Take depositions, handle mediations and first-chair trials, drawing on deep command of the Texas Family Code.
- Guide Clients Through Hard Times: Deliver compassionate, results-driven representation when families need it most.
Requirements
- A valid Texas bar license for a minimum of 2 years
- At least 2 years of dedicated Texas Family Law litigation.
- Proficient in Clio, TxDoc, Google Suite, (or similar software) and modern e-filing systems.
Skills
- Fearless presence in the courtroom
- Ability to manage a high-impact docket under pressure
- Highly organized advocate experienced in family law hearings, and estate / guardianship proceedings
- Precision drafting of pleadings and discovery
- Energy and discipline in every stage of the litigation process
