About the Role
Marketing at Envoy relies on product-led signups, inbound demand, and outbound motions across several products. This role will identify which of these generate pipeline and revenue, and build the data foundation to support these insights. It is a hands-on, technical position requiring the creation of production SQL and dbt models, acting as an analytical partner to Marketing and RevOps leadership, and contributing to the Data team's warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Work as a forward-deployed engineer embedded in Marketing, identifying problems and shipping end-to-end data products.
- Own the marketing data platform on AWS, building and running marketing pipelines across Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, and Iceberg tables.
- Define infrastructure using Terraform and deploy through GitHub Actions.
- Model the marketing funnel in dbt, shipping tested staging, intermediate, and mart models for lead to closed-won stages, including semantic models for self-service.
- Build attribution as a product, designing multi-touch attribution across various channels and running it as scheduled jobs in Airflow.
- Expose attribution data through governed tables and APIs.
- Ship internal applications for Marketing, such as campaign ROI explorers and lead-routing consoles, using AWS Amplify, Lambda, and API Gateway.
- Build serverless data APIs to expose warehouse metrics to applications, Slack, and AI agents.
- Sync scores, segments, and product signals from the warehouse back into Salesforce, Marketo, and Outreach.
- Engineer the event lake by joining Segment product events with CRM records to measure product-qualified leads and PLG conversion.
- Build lead scoring and intent models using Python or Databricks, deploying and monitoring them in production.
- Design and measure A/B and holdout tests, reporting on CAC, payback, and channel ROI with Finance.
- Utilize AI and LLM tooling for prototyping applications, generating models, and automating analysis.
- Ensure pipeline reliability through source freshness, data tests, CI checks, cost management, and monitoring.
Requirements
- 5+ years in analytics, with at least 2 years focused on marketing, growth, or go-to-market analytics at a B2B SaaS company.
- Expert SQL skills, including window functions, CTE-first style, and query performance optimization.
- Production dbt experience, including building layered models, writing tests, and shipping through code review and CI.
- Fluency in Python for analysis and statistics (e.g., pandas, statsmodels), including experiment design and causal inference basics.
- Deep familiarity with marketing and sales data, including Salesforce objects, marketing automation platforms, and event tracking.
- Working knowledge of attribution approaches, funnel analysis, and cohort analysis.
- Comfort with Git, pull requests, and the command line.
- A track record of influencing decisions and clearly communicating model assumptions.
