About the Role
White Cap is hiring immediately for a Receiving Associate. This role is crucial in supporting the nation's largest construction projects by ensuring accurate and timely receipt of materials.
Responsibilities
- Receives, counts, and stores items.
- Records receiving data using a computer and company software.
- Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items properly and accurately.
- Identifies incorrect or short-shipped items and notifies the supervisor.
- Communicates with shipping vendors to resolve delivery issues.
- Delivers products, supplies, and equipment to the correct designated area.
- Works closely with purchasing to track shortages for late/slow delivery.
- Files purchase orders correctly based on company policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior experience operating a forklift is preferred.
- Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle, is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction and industrial products is preferred.
- Spanish language proficiency is preferred.
