About the Role

Unity's attack surface spans the engine and editor, client runtime, cloud products, ads business, corporate environment, and AI tools. Your job is to attack all of it as a real adversary would, turning findings into fixes. This is not a checklist pen-testing role; you will plan and run realistic attack campaigns, chain weaknesses, and clearly explain attacker impact to engineers and leaders. You will collaborate with Product Security, Infrastructure Security, Security Operations, and engineering teams, and help build tooling and automation for the offensive team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run objective-based red team operations against cloud, corporate, and production environments, modeled on relevant threats.
  • Run purple team exercises with Security Operations to test and improve detection and response.
  • Perform deep security testing of Unity products and services, including web applications, APIs, engine, editor, client runtime, ads systems, and developer platforms.
  • Identify and demonstrate attack paths across multi-cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD pipelines, identity, and secrets.
  • Test LLM integrations, AI-native products, and agent workflows for issues like prompt injection, data leakage, tool misuse, and excessive permissions.
  • Write clear, prioritized findings with realistic impact, work with owning teams on remediation, and retest to confirm fixes.
  • Build and maintain tools, scripts, and automation to scale adversarial engineering and testing, and convert recurring findings into continuous checks.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in offensive security (red teaming, penetration testing, purple teaming, or vulnerability research), including leading engagements end to end.
  • Hands-on experience attacking cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure), including identity, Kubernetes, containers, and CI/CD.
  • Strong web application and API security testing skills, with the ability to find logic flaws.
  • Solid scripting or programming ability (e.g., Python, Go, C/C++) to build tools and exploits.
  • Experience running adversary emulation or red team operations against realistic objectives.
  • Experience working with defenders in purple team exercises.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical risk to engineers and non-technical leaders.
  • Genuine enjoyment of teamwork, idea sharing, support, and celebrating wins.
  • Sufficient knowledge of English for professional verbal and written exchanges.
