About the Role

Prestige Fleet Services is seeking mechanically savvy technicians to join their growing team. They offer cutting-edge technology to reduce administrative time, allowing technicians to focus on their work. This is a locally run, family-oriented company serving the community.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, and tires.
Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
Repair and replace vehicle/trailer components.
Open and close repair orders using a company-issued device.
Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely manner.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
Reefer experience is a plus.
Communication skills.
Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays when needed.
Valid Driver's License required.
Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills.
Ability to use a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders (adding labor hours, updating statuses).
2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
2 years of experience in truck/trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Basic computer skills.
Must possess proper tools.
Ability to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
