About the Role
We are building a suite of AI-native tools to transform advisory work and client engagement. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our founding in-house engineering team in Toronto to build products from the ground up. This is a hands-on role focused on architecting and developing an 'harness' for agentic workflows, integrating LLMs, and automating high-stakes M&A workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic products, features, and workflows from prototype to production.
- Integrate LLMs, tool-calling, retrieval, and orchestration patterns into reliable, secure, and observable systems.
- Design and implement robust data/domain models for automated reporting and memo generation.
- Write high-quality, production-grade code across the stack.
- Help define the architecture and technology stack for a new platform.
- Contribute to engineering standards, code reviews, testing, scalability, manageability, and security practices for AI-enabled systems.
- Work alongside senior technology advisors and subject matter experts.
- Collaborate in small teams, sharing knowledge and compounding team capability.
- Take part in technical evaluations and help hire engineers.
Requirements
- 7–15 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong academic foundation in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
- Proven record of driving technical delivery in complex, high-stakes environments.
- Track record of shipping enterprise SaaS or B2B products.
- Shipped an Agentic or LLM-powered product hands-on in the last 24 months.
- Experience building or working within an AI 'harness' or similar orchestration layers.
- Understanding of the full LLM lifecycle.
- Sound architectural judgment, articulating trade-offs between different architectures.
- Familiarity with orchestration patterns such as enterprise service buses.
- Preference for a 'buy-first' strategy, focusing engineering effort on proprietary IP.
- Ability to translate complex business processes into automated agentic workflows.
