About the Role

BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. is seeking an Associate, Application Engineer III to contribute to development tasks, architectural decisions, and prototype creation. This role involves building strategic systems for client reporting distribution and notification capabilities, providing second-line support, and collaborating with client support teams to resolve escalated concerns. The position also requires refining business and functional requirements and maintaining clear communication of technology decisions with senior team members.

Responsibilities

Contribute to development tasks, architectural decisions, and creation of prototypes.
Build strategic systems for client reporting distribution and notification capabilities.
Provide second-line support for technical and operational issues.
Collaborate with client support teams to resolve escalated concerns.
Ensure the maintenance and enhancement of existing application functionality.
Refine business and functional requirements.
Work closely with team members across multiple offices and countries.
Maintain clear communication of technology decisions, issues, and plans with senior team members.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Three (3) years of experience in job offered or related occupation.
Three (3) years of experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Three (3) years of experience with Java.
Three (3) years of experience with Backend and Full-Stack enterprise application development, building apps or services from the ground up and scaling at an enterprise level.
Three (3) years of experience applying Design Patterns for scalable, maintainable code.
Three (3) years of experience with Spring Boot for enterprise-grade applications.
Three (3) years of experience with Hibernate ORM for database interaction.
Three (3) years of experience with SQL, Stored Procedures, and Relational Data Modeling.
Three (3) years of experience with Maven for build automation and dependency management.
Three (3) years of experience with JUnit Testing with coverage standards and Mocking Frameworks (Mockito).
Three (3) years of experience with Kafka for Messaging and Event-Driven Architecture.
Three (3) years of experience with Modern DevOps practices and CI/CD Workflows.
Three (3) years of experience with Relational Database Design and development.
Two (2) years of experience with Systems-Level Software in Distributed Environments.
Two (2) years of experience with Cloud Infrastructure including AWS and Azure.
