About the Role
In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items per standard recipe while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
- Stock kitchen with all necessary ingredients.
- Assist on all stations on the line as needed for each meal period.
- Maintain and clean equipment according to the opening and closing checklists.
- Promptly report any hazards, unsafe working conditions, or equipment requiring repair/maintenance.
- Adhere to all Department of Health food and safety standards.
- Comply with company and department policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas.
- Demonstrate the ability to execute and follow recipes and all house-made ingredients promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure all food is plated and presented accordingly and demonstrate a sense of urgency for responding to guest needs during all interactions.
Requirements
- Twelve (12) months of experience in high-volume restaurants, resorts, or private clubs.
- Required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts greater than eight (8) hours.
- Required to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Required to stand, walk, and move for a period of greater than four (4) hours.
- Required to lift, carry, bend, stoop, squat, reach, push, and pull.
- May be required to lift and carry items sometimes exceeding 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of ServSafe and safe food handling practices.
- Background check will be performed at the employer's expense.
