About the Role
We are seeking Workday Engineers who are passionate about developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the core Finance technology driving Capital One. As part of a team that’s leading the next wave of disruption on a whole new scale, you will play an integral part in advancing Capital One’s Finance Technology ecosystem and culture of technical excellence. You will champion automation of functional and technical processes and bring your expertise to drive innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business
- Deliver solutions in Workday platform across the Finance modules of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards
- Effectively communicate across team, Product Owners, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with finance partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.
- Design and develop complex integrations within the Workday platform to support candidate and associate experience using web service technologies, SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, XSLT.
- Lead a team of integrators and configurators to support the Workday Finance modules
- Work with product owners to align on priorities and deliver on key objectives using Agile methodologies, while maintaining the highest platform and Enterprise standards.
- Design and develop automation workflows, perform unit tests and conduct code reviews for self and the team, to make sure work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded and effectively tuned for platform performance and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 6 years of Workday platform experience
- At least 4 years of experience with Workday integrations or functional configuration tasks (General Ledger, Accounting Center, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers)
- At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role
- Experience working in an agile delivery environment
- Workday or Workday Pro certifications
- 2+ years of experience with Workday Security or Workday Reporting
- 1+ years of experience loading HCM data into Workday using existing Enterprise Interface Builders (EIB’s)
