About the Role
As an Assistant Store Manager, you are an experienced leader with exceptional service and sales acumen. You will support the growth and awareness of Laline in your store and market, leading by example and creating an environment that demonstrates Laline’s values. You will partner with key leaders to exceed targets by supporting the management of sales, people, and processes within your store.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue and exceed targets; review business and people results and create plans to achieve targets.
- Foster a culture of performance, cost awareness, and accountability within the team.
- Develop business acumen within the team to drive results.
- Protect company assets, including preventing internal and external theft and ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Support talent sourcing and selection to build the necessary infrastructure for business growth.
- Assist in the successful integration and onboarding of new talent.
- Build healthy relationships with team members and encourage a positive and engaging work environment.
- Support the ongoing development of the team to meet revenue and profitability goals.
- Lead by example to ensure quality customer experience through communication, training, and upholding service expectations, including product demonstrations.
- Provide in-store feedback and coaching to staff to build skills and confidence in customer service and product knowledge.
- Represent the brand professionally both within and outside the company.
- Drive the culture and values of the organization in all aspects of business.
- Support and execute visual merchandising guidelines throughout the store.
- Build brand loyalty through the membership program and drive future business.
- Identify opportunities for marketing initiatives to drive new and repeat clients and community engagement at the store level.
- Ensure operational, brand, and product standards are met daily and that teams understand their expectations and roles.
- Identify and escalate opportunities, gaps, risks, and roadblocks with urgency, partnering with cross-functional teams as needed.
- Ensure standard operational policies and procedures are followed, including health & safety, store maintenance, cleaning & replenishment, inventory management, and cash systems.
Requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of service excellence in a consumer environment.
- Success in driving top-line sales, interpreting sales reports, and creating plans for success.
- Experience in retail store supervision.
- Experience in recruitment and training.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bonus: experience in beauty retail.
