About the Role
Prestolite Electric/Leece-Neville, a leading global manufacturer of alternators and starter motors for the heavy-duty vehicle market, is seeking individuals for Production Operator positions. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to take the next step in their career and join a great team offering professional growth and a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Run machines, assemble components, final assemble product, and/or test parts.
- Be flexible to move from job to job, with tasks that may involve standing or sitting for various lengths of time.
- Operate solder irons and other solder equipment, air drivers, potting equipment, and electrical pass-fail test equipment.
- Work with chemicals commonly found in factory production such as flux, solder, epoxy, adhesives, and silastics.
- Maintain required charts and graphs.
- Become familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Read and sign process specifications pertaining to work assignments.
- Keep workstations neat and clean.
Requirements
- Must wear safety shoes, safety glasses, and other required safety equipment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, including the ability to adhere to assigned work schedules and shift requirements.
- Overtime may be required.
