About the Role
We are looking for a Compensation Manager to manage pay and bonus processes end to end across EMEA and APAC. This high profile, business-facing role involves day-to-day operations, policy, strategic reward projects, and the annual salary and bonus review, with exposure to senior leadership. You will help shape reward to support growth and reflect our culture and values.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex compensation datasets across countries and systems, ensuring data integrity.
- Build and maintain data models that support pay decisions, budgeting and forecasting.
- Analyze pay trends, equal pay and gender pay data, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Own regular and ad hoc reporting for HR and business stakeholders, and improve reporting processes.
- Deliver market benchmarking and compensation analytics to support business decision making.
- Maintain competitive and sustainable pay structures by staying ahead of market movements.
- Advise on pay positioning for hiring, promotions, new roles and new markets.
- Proactively challenge current ways of working and introduce new approaches, tools and frameworks.
- Use AI tools to build data models, automate reporting, speed up analysis and interpret data.
- Propose and implement improvements to business processes, report running and controls.
- Manage the annual salary review and bonus cycles end to end, from design and modelling through to execution and communication.
- Build models on various scenarios to ensure outcomes are fair, accurate and aligned with business performance.
- Plan cycle timelines, coordinate with local HRs, Finance and regional stakeholders, and communicate guidelines.
- Run post cycle reviews and implement lessons learned for future cycles.
- Support and implement reward frameworks, policies and governance structures, including salary structures and pay ranges.
- Ensure compensation practices meet local legal requirements and company policy across EMEA and APAC, and anticipate future legislation.
- Contribute to strategic reward initiatives, including pay transparency readiness and broader reward programme development.
- Provide expert guidance to HR colleagues, managers and employees, and resolve complex reward queries.
- Write clear guidance and communications for HR colleagues, managers, employees and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Solid experience in a compensation or reward role, with hands-on ownership of annual salary review and bonus cycles.
- Experience working on reward across multiple countries, ideally in EMEA and/or APAC, with an understanding of regional pay practice, regulation and market data differences.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly confident working with large and complex datasets, and building models with advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, scenario modelling).
- Actively use AI tools to build models, analyse and interpret data, and improve processes.
- Ability to manage whole processes and juggle priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, commercial recommendations.
