About the Role

The Manager of Software Engineering will lead the engineering team responsible for our client asset reporting platform and broader Sales Technology application ecosystem. This role requires strong expertise in C#/.NET development, data engineering, systems integration, and AI-assisted software development. You will oversee the design, development, delivery, modernization, and ongoing support of business-critical platforms serving the Global Client Group, Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders. This is a highly visible technical leadership role accountable for engineering quality, platform reliability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Hire, coach, develop, and hold engineers accountable, building technical capabilities and a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Set technical engineering direction, establishing the long-term direction for the team’s technology, architecture, engineering practices, and capabilities, including AI-assisted engineering.
Prioritize and deliver work using data and measurable outcomes to inform prioritization, evaluate tradeoffs, improve team performance, and focus engineering effort on high-value priorities.
Own operational health by using operational data and engineering metrics to understand system health, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure applications and services are reliable, supportable, and effectively operated.
Own engineering risk and security by ensuring vulnerabilities, technical debt, lifecycle risks, controls, and other engineering risks are understood, prioritized, and addressed.
Communicate and align with senior leadership and stakeholders by providing clear, data-informed visibility into priorities, delivery, performance, risks, tradeoffs, and decisions.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience leading and developing software engineering teams, including coaching, performance management, and building technical capability.
Strong software engineering background with the technical judgment to guide architecture, engineering practices, operational reliability, and technical tradeoffs.
Working knowledge of AI-assisted software engineering practices and emerging agentic development approaches.
Strong software engineering background with hands-on development experience with C#/.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, and Snowflake, with the ability and willingness to contribute directly to code when needed.
Experience translating business and product priorities into engineering direction, priorities, and executable plans.
Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to understand performance, identify opportunities, and inform decisions.
Experience leading teams responsible for production applications, including operational support, reliability, security, and vulnerability management.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to communicate technical topics, priorities, risks, and tradeoffs to senior leadership and non-technical audiences.
