About the Role
Jackson Energy Cooperative Corp. is seeking a 1st Class Line Technician in our London District Office.
Responsibilities
- Work after-hours service and outage problems.
- Troubleshoot line faults and equipment.
- Determine line feeds.
- Install and remove/replace transformers, OCR's, fuses, voltage regulators, and capacitors.
- Work irregular hours and overtime in outage and emergency situations.
- Participate in the On-Call Program.
Requirements
- Must be a high school graduate or have G.E.D. equivalent.
- Must be able to report to the District Office within 30 minutes from home.
- Minimum of 4 years on-the-job experience in electrical line distribution, construction & maintenance, including overhead and underground.
- Must have successfully completed a Lineman Apprenticeship Program, or have certification from another qualified program.
- Must have thorough knowledge of safety rules and procedures.
- Must have a valid Kentucky CDL.
