About the Role
HealthPro Heritage has a great Part-time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Opportunity at our assisted living community in Scarsdale, NY. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, team-oriented environment while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those you serve.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
- Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
- Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
- Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible.
Skills
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
