  • Perform pre-trip and routine safety inspections, identifying and reporting unsafe vehicles.
  • Maintain vehicle service records, inspection logs, registration/inspection due dates, and warranty information; recommend repair-versus-replace decisions.
  • Prioritize, update, and complete work orders independently using the Appfolio system.
  • Coordinate with the Manager of Maintenance on external repairs, towing, body work, or specialized equipment, and oversee vendor work.

  • Verify quantity, quality, fit, and condition of received parts and materials.
  • Maintain an organized and safe shop environment, including tools, lifts, jacks, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Respond promptly to urgent vehicle breakdowns and equipment failures, including during on-call hours.
  • Notify the Manager of Maintenance of any schedule-impacting delays, unforeseen conditions, parts backorders, or vendor issues.
  • Adhere to all MLF safety policies and procedures, including lift safety, lockout/tagout, and safe handling/disposal of shop chemicals.
  • Participate in cross-training, learning new skills, and sharing knowledge with teammates.
  • Attend daily team meetings, monthly staff meetings, and teambuilding events.
