About the Role
Griffis Residential, a premier property management company, is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our community grounds and common areas, enhancing curb appeal, and making a positive first impression.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of the entire community, ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and a trash-free environment.
- Take immediate action to pick up litter, including pet waste and cigarette butts, from exterior and common areas.
- Perform light landscaping duties such as sprinkler adjustment, tree and shrub trimming, sod replacement, and plant care.
- Keep dumpster areas clean and free of pests, and monitor for potential fire hazards.
- Maintain the cleanliness of parking lots, curbs, and walkways.
- Assist with pool and spa maintenance, including chemical balancing and record-keeping.
- Clear snow and ice from designated areas and apply ice melt as needed.
- Identify areas for improvement and suggest ways to enhance maintenance efficiency.
- Participate in resident loyalty programs and uphold high customer service standards.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in multi-family housing, hospitality, or a similar industry.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license preferred (required within the first 6 months of employment).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and fostering an inclusive work environment.
Skills
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
