About the Role
Join B&Q as a Sales Team Manager and be pivotal in driving sales across our showroom and TradePoint departments. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn about the business and gain management training across various store formats before being placed into your own department or store.
Responsibilities
- Lead two of the most strategically important areas of our store — Showrooms and TradePoint.
- Create a culture where every colleague is confident, proactive, and laser-focused on fulfilling B&Q’s ambition of making every customer count.
- Make a real difference through sales coaching and performance leadership.
- Build a high-performing team.
- Support sales colleagues to build deep product knowledge and be confident to sell.
- Use customer insights and performance data to spot opportunities and respond at pace.
- Build strong local customer relationships, with a focus on Tradespeople.
Requirements
- Lead the team to deliver effective stock management and to make every customer count.
- Demonstrate qualities such as observing, listening, and communicating ways to continuously improve and celebrate success.
- Be comfortable having meaningful discussions about performance.
- Excel at building rapport with customers and colleagues.
- Be well-planned and organised, and thrive in being agile with plans when needed.
- Possess natural analytical rigor and the ability to spot opportunities to increase sales.
- Flexibility and travel required during the designate period.
- Ability to be placed within a store that matches your experience within 50 miles or 1 hr of where you live.
