About the Role
The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that hotel rooms are cleaned and that the hotel is well-maintained, while also fostering a happy housekeeping team. This role involves significant coordination and requires a visible presence on the floor, assisting as needed and collaborating with a hotel-wide team.
Responsibilities
- Ensures higher than normal quality standards for hotel rooms, public areas, food & beverage outlets, and heart of the house areas.
- Works closely with the Assistant Director of Housekeeping and Front Office team to ensure all guest preferences are executed.
- Conducts extensive training for the housekeeping team.
- Adheres to budgetary guidelines and creates efficient schedules.
- Demonstrates flexibility and understanding of 'gray areas' to prioritize guest needs.
- Fosters a fun work environment for the housekeeping staff.
- Ensures the safety and security of guests and teammates by complying with all safety procedures and training staff in legal and appropriate areas.
Requirements
- Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States.
- Ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations.
- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management, and co-workers, both in person and on the telephone.
- Proficient computer knowledge.
- Spanish language skills are helpful but not required.
