About the Role
Base is hiring a Global Supply Analyst to support sourcing from RFQ to award, build cost models, and manage suppliers as production scales. This role involves close collaboration with senior supply managers, engineering, manufacturing, and logistics, with opportunities for rapid ownership.
Responsibilities
- Support RFQs end to end, including gathering requirements, sending RFQs, comparing bids, and recommending suppliers.
- Build and maintain should-cost models and pricing benchmarks for cost reduction and negotiation preparation.
- Assist in negotiating piece price, tooling, and payment terms, and maintain organized contracts and agreements.
- Track supplier performance on cost, quality, and delivery, and proactively identify issues.
- Manage lead times, capacity, and open orders with suppliers during production ramp-up.
- Research new suppliers and market trends within assigned categories.
- Present findings and recommendations to the supply chain team and engineering partners.
Requirements
- A degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related internship.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Clear, direct written and verbal communication.
- Strong organization, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 25% of the time.
