About the Role
Full-time live-out nanny needed for a family in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to care for two young boys. The role involves providing nurturing and engaging care, supporting developmental activities, and managing child-related tasks. The nanny will work collaboratively with the mother, who is at home.
Responsibilities
- Providing nurturing care and interacting with the boys in an engaging, loving, and age-appropriate way.
- Planning balanced days with developmental activities at home and in the backyard.
- Organizing park outings, classes, and playdates.
- Handling all responsibilities for the boys, including simple meal prep and cleanup.
- Managing kids' laundry.
- Overseeing toy and closet rotations.
- Coordinating classes and preschool drop-off and pick-up (from September 2027).
- Partnering with Mom at home and adapting to a changing daily rhythm.
- Completing all child-related duties, including meal preparation, tidying bedroom and play areas, kids' laundry, and researching/planning playdates and activities.
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the US.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a nanny or childcare provider.
- Recent experience with infants and toddlers.
- A well-suited demeanor for working with infants and toddlers.
- Exceptional childcare references attesting to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity, and high emotional intelligence.
- Comfortable partnering with Mom at home and adapting to a changing daily rhythm.
- Physically active and comfortable with stairs (four-story home).
- Comfortable in a dog-friendly home and not allergic to dogs.
- Ability to commit for a minimum of 2 years for permanent positions.
