About the Role
This placement role offers the opportunity to work on desktop and infrastructure technology within a leading systematic hedge fund. No prior experience is necessary, but a strong interest in IT and PC troubleshooting is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide first response to technology issues, logging and allocating them for resolution.
- Check the functionality of IT equipment in meeting rooms and across the office.
- Complete administrative tasks such as setting up new joiner accounts and computers, and managing password resets and account permissions.
- Support the IT team in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Requirements
- Must be currently studying an IT-related course at university.
- Must be seeking a placement role as part of your university degree.
- Must be available for a one-year placement from summer 2027 to summer 2028.
Skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Organisational and prioritisation skills
- Interest in troubleshooting and problem-solving technical issues
