About the Role

We are looking for a Bartender to join our team and help create the kind of experiences our guests come back for. Working closely with our Head Bartender and the wider Food & Beverage team, you'll be the friendly face behind the bar, shaking cocktails, pouring great drinks and making genuine connections with our guests. Whether it's recommending the perfect drink, sharing local tips, or simply creating a welcoming atmosphere, you'll help bring our spaces to life and make every visit feel a little more special.

Responsibilities

  • Create a fun, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where guests come to unwind, connect and enjoy themselves.
  • Prepare and serve everything from great coffees and soft drinks to classic cocktails and seasonal creations, always with consistency and attention to detail.
  • Build genuine connections with our guests, making recommendations, sharing your knowledge and creating memorable experiences that keep them coming back.
  • Know our drinks menu, products and systems inside out, and stay curious about new trends, ingredients and techniques.
  • Ensure all drinks are prepared and served in line with our quality, presentation and service standards.
  • Work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team to keep service running smoothly across the bar, lobby and wintergarden.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked bar area, ensuring everything is ready for a seamless service.
  • Monitor stock levels and minimise waste.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, always looking for opportunities to turn a situation into a positive experience.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and team members.
  • Be more than a Bartender – jump in where needed, support your teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of wine, spirits and preferably beer.
  • Previous bartending experience in a buzzy environment.
  • A thirst for knowledge;- be it product, service, or everything in between.
  • Fluent in English, good German knowledge, additional languages will be highly valuable.
  • Flexible to work on rotative shifts and on weekends.
  • Passion for hospitality – you’re all about creating memorable experiences for others, be they guests or colleagues.
  • A people person, you’re confident behind the bar.
  • Looking for a place where you can be you; no clones in suits here.
  • Not precious. Egos left at the door and help get stuff done.
  • Up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once.
  • If we got stuck in a lift together, we’d have a good time and share a few laughs.
  • Want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun along the way.

About the Company

  • The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love.
  • Ever since we opened our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve never just been about offering a bed for the night.
  • We want to be more than that: proving style doesn’t need to be sacrificed for good value and providing a place where guests can hang out alongside the locals and submerse themselves in the neighbourhood with vibrant, welcoming public spaces.
