About the Role
Drive AI/ML-powered music experiences, managing programs from model development through evaluation, serving, and launch. You will bring deep technical domain expertise to drive server-side initiatives under tight release cycles, moving fluidly between ML research, engineering, and production infrastructure. This role requires responsibility for successful outcomes and delivery, with a focus on shipping code used by millions of customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects/programs through the software development lifecycle from planning to launch.
- Partner with stakeholders and ML engineers to define functional and technical requirements for model development, evaluation, and deployment.
- Collaborate with various organizations to support AI/ML capabilities and foundational infrastructure in Apple Music.
- Translate deeply technical work into clear executive updates and risk assessments.
- Help establish processes to improve how products are built and executed.
Requirements
- Substantial experience as an Engineering Program Manager.
- Strong technical program manager with a proven track record in driving software development initiatives.
- Strong ML fluency: hands-on experience driving ML programs, with a working understanding of model training, evaluation, and serving.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex dependency chains across multiple engineering organizations.
