About the Role
Develop software that matters for Next Generation Electronic Systems Products and Solutions, protecting those who protect us. Seeking an engaged software leader with strong technical and leadership skills to lead mid to large size software projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with other disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Technical execution of all phases of software development from requirements to test and integration.
- Leading a software team in an Agile development environment.
- Program planning, including Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and budget development.
- Management of the software effort for cost and schedule (including Cost Account Manager responsibilities).
- Collaborating with the program team (program management, engineering management, and other disciplines) to ensure success.
- Performing estimates and participating in proposals for future business.
- Participating in staffing and hiring decisions.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to obtain and able to maintain a Secret security clearance.
- 8 to 10+ years of experience.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another Scientific degree with strong software engineering content.
- Demonstrated ability in all phases of embedded software development.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Software project management experience (scheduling, budgeting, cost account management).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
