About the Role
Fuse is an AI-first energy company focused on making energy abundant and affordable. We are seeking a Paralegal to support our legal team in London, assisting with commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters during a period of rapid expansion. This role offers the chance to contribute to the legal infrastructure of an innovative energy startup.
Responsibilities
- Support deal flow by reviewing, drafting, and preparing agreements such as MSAs, product order forms, and supplier/customer/technology contracts.
- Prepare initial drafts and mark-ups, track negotiation progress, and promptly identify risks for Legal Counsel.
- Assist with product launches by researching and summarizing legal and regulatory requirements for new product lines.
- Review product designs and documentation to ensure compliance and readiness for launch.
- Serve as the primary contact for routine legal inquiries from Operations, Finance, Trading, and Product departments.
- Handle straightforward legal requests independently and escalate complex issues appropriately.
- Support UK and cross-border compliance efforts, including preparing and coordinating filings and regulatory submissions.
- Maintain policies, registers, and training records to ensure inspection readiness without hindering business operations.
- Contribute to building scalable legal infrastructure by maintaining and improving templates, clause libraries, and playbooks.
- Organize contract and document records and streamline workflows to automate routine tasks.
Requirements
- Law degree or GDL/SQE1 qualification, or currently pursuing solicitor qualification.
- 1-3 years of experience as a paralegal or in a legal support role, preferably with both law firm and in-house experience.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for renewable energy, decentralization, and technology-driven change.
