About the Role
Harbor Compute is seeking an expert network engineer with software development capabilities to build and lead our network engineering team. This role involves designing and implementing network fabrics for accelerated compute clusters, contributing to network modeling systems, and partnering with various expert teams to deliver world-class supercompute deployments.
Responsibilities
- Design and review the design of accelerated compute cluster network fabrics.
- Support the deployment of a network from design, to procurement, to cabling, to qualification.
- Contribute to observability, monitoring, provisioning, automation, modeling and simulation software for networks.
- Support the operations of said networks.
- Work with a team of world-class experts.
Requirements
- Hands on experience with network automation and operations.
- Intimate familiarity with the operating constraints of fiber-optic networks.
- Skills necessary to design and validate the designs of network fabrics.
- Provide meaningful peer review for site designs to ensure sufficient power provisioning ratios.
- Ability to help over-all with building very large, very fast accelerated compute deployments.
- Combined low level programming experience will be preferred.
- 10+ years experience with networking and network operations.
- 5+ years experience in designing and deploying networks.
- A comprehensive mastery of networking equipment and network protocols.
- Experience and skills with both front end and back end networks.
- Hands on experience with fiber-optic equipment and logistics.
- Some hands-on experience with systems programming.
- Hands on network support experience.

Salary/Compensations
- $190,000 – $300,000
