About the Role
Westmag offers Internship and Co-op opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in engineering, operations, product development, and business functions. Interns and co-op students will work closely with full-time engineers on impactful projects supporting Westmag's mission to innovate in drone motor manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain internal web applications and services supporting engineering and manufacturing operations.
- Develop full-stack features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js, backed by PostgreSQL databases.
- Containerize, deploy, and operate services on AWS, including improving CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
- Support integrations between factory equipment, test stations, and software systems, including data collection and monitoring.
- Write automated tests, contribute to code reviews and technical documentation, and undertake research tasks.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and production teams to translate factory needs into software solutions.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related undergraduate or graduate program.
- Strong interest in robotics, drone technology, manufacturing, or technology startups.
- Previous internship, personal projects, or project-based student organization experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship/co-op period.
