About the Role

Hebbia is seeking a Product Manager to lead an area of its AI product, focusing on assisting investors and bankers with company research, information analysis, and reliable work production. This role involves setting product direction, identifying problems to solve, and collaborating with engineering, design, and research teams to bring new features from discovery to adoption. The Product Manager will engage directly with customers to understand their usage patterns and translate these insights into product enhancements. This is a hands-on position requiring the creation of prototypes, definition of workflow behaviors, evaluation of AI outputs, and meticulous attention to user experience details. The individual will be responsible for both the product roadmap and ensuring the product delivers sustained value post-launch.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for a product area, aligning customer needs and business goals with clear priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Identify customer needs and prioritize the most valuable problems to solve by combining direct customer research, product usage data, and deployment lessons.
  • Design complete user workflows and translate them into focused requirements, prototypes, and initial releases with a clear iteration plan.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and research on product and technical tradeoffs, including accuracy, usability, reliability, security, latency, and cost.
  • Establish the quality standard for AI outputs, analyses, and generated work products using customer tasks, acceptance criteria, and evaluations.
  • Prioritize reusable product capabilities by assessing customer value, commercial opportunity, delivery effort, and ongoing operating costs.
  • Drive execution by making timely product decisions, resolving issues, and providing engineers with context for independent decision-making.
  • Manage product launches through rollout and adoption, working with sales and customer-facing teams on validation, enablement, and feedback.
  • Measure usage, task success, retention, and business impact, investigating shortcomings to guide future releases.

Requirements

  • Experience independently owning a software product area from discovery through launch and adoption, with demonstrated customer or business impact.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear priorities, practical requirements, and focused releases.
  • Technical fluency with APIs, data systems, and AI products; comfortable investigating issues with engineers and reasoning about system behavior and tradeoffs.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to research, prototype, analyze data, or build software.
  • Strong customer instincts and commercial judgment, with curiosity about how users work and the ability to connect their needs to a product opportunity.
  • Strong product craft and attention to usability, with the ability to turn subjective feedback into concrete product behavior, examples, and acceptance criteria.
  • Clear communication and sound judgment under uncertainty; able to make recommendations, handle disagreement directly, and update your view as you learn.
  • Comfort with owning the details, testing the product yourself, and improving it after launch.
  • Experience with enterprise software, financial workflows, integrations, or AI evaluation is a strong plus.
