About the Role
Distyl AI is seeking a talent scout to identify and recruit exceptional individuals for the company. This role involves developing an independent view of top talent, persuading them through evidence, and owning the front of the funnel in partnership with the executive team and recruiting department.
Responsibilities
- Form an independent view of exceptional talent before credentials make it obvious.
- Back judgment with evidence, track accuracy, and learn from mistakes.
- Know the best people in target markets, their locations, and what would motivate them.
- Find exceptional candidates when hiring managers believe the profile does not exist.
- Run scouting as a business with prioritized markets, a pipeline, a cadence, and understood conversion stages.
- Be measured on the quality of hires, judged a year in, using funnel numbers as a means to achieve this.
Requirements
- Track record of deal-making and running a funnel with outsized success.
- Ability to build a pipeline from nothing and achieve conversion rates well above peers.
- Ability to recognize exceptional people others overlook and explain judgments.
- Persistent without ego, able to find alternative solutions and change one's mind.
- Demonstrated excellence in academic, commercial, entrepreneurial, competitive, or other fields.
- Ability to travel 20%.
