About the Role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain reliable backend services for our reservation and ticketing platform. You will take the lead in developing complex features, contribute to technical design, improve production reliability, and collaborate with other engineers to deliver high-quality software.

Responsibilities

Clarify requirements and perform backend technical design in collaboration with product and development teams.
Coordinate API specifications and system integrations with partner teams.
Participate in architectural discussions and design improvements.
Document technical decisions and work on technical debt reduction while adhering to development standards.
Implement and review maintainable backend software, utilizing automated testing and prioritizing security, performance, and transactional accuracy.
Take ownership of backend features from design through production deployment, coordinating technical dependencies, proactively sharing risks, and resolving issues collaboratively with other engineers.
Contribute to service reliability by investigating and resolving production issues with platform and operations teams, and improving monitoring and observability.
Support other engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
Assist with onboarding new members and technical interviews as needed.
Leverage automation and AI development support tools to enhance development efficiency and code quality, while adhering to testing, review, and security standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Over 5 years of backend software development experience with high proficiency in backend programming languages.
Proven experience independently designing, developing, and releasing complex backend features, making technical design decisions, conducting code reviews, and effectively collaborating with other engineers and teams.
High proficiency in relational databases and SQL, including data modeling, transactions, concurrency control, and query performance.
Excellent system and API design skills, including secure and reliable service integrations.
Experience deploying and operating backend services in cloud environments, along with experience in automated testing, continuous delivery, and production troubleshooting.
Ability to collaboratively identify and resolve technical issues and explain technical decisions to engineers and business stakeholders.
English proficiency sufficient for technical discussions, documentation, and inter-team collaboration.
