About the Role
The Anti-Fraud Specialist team's mission is to provide a secure environment for users of Mercari Group services, focusing on protecting users' financial assets from fraudulent activities.
Responsibilities
- Detecting signs of fraud and analyzing actual fraudulent activities across various Mercari Group services.
- Developing and tuning monitoring rules based on fraud risks.
- Developing and operating fraud detection systems.
- Planning and promoting fraud countermeasures within Mercari products.
Requirements
- Empathy with the Mercari Group's mission and values.
- Experience in fraud countermeasures, specifically in one of the following: tuning fraud detection rules, developing/operating fraud detection systems, or planning/managing fraud prevention.
- Enjoyment of diverse changes for continuous improvement and growth.
- Proactive behavior with a drive for self-initiated improvements.
Skills
- Fraud countermeasures
- Trust & Safety domain knowledge
- Analytical experience using query languages like SQL and BigQuery
- Software development experience as an engineer
- Experience building fraud countermeasure products/systems as a Product Manager
- Business experience in English
- Leadership and communication skills to involve others
