Responsibilities
- Implement, deploy, and support SAP Archiving/ILM solutions.
- Perform end-to-end SAP Archiving implementations.
- Manage SAP ILM retention and system decommissioning.
- Achieve implementation in various environments including ECC, S/4, CRM, SRM & HR.
- Archive transaction data and other modules in PTP, OTC, FICO, and other modules, understanding business flows.
- Perform archiving in ECC systems as part of migration or conversion.
- Gather requirements and provide techno-functional archiving skills.
- Utilize reporting tools for effective retrieval of archived data.
- Handle unstructured data solutions.
- Conduct archiving testing.
- Manage deployment and cutover activities.
- Coordinate with functional teams and client stakeholders.
- Create rules and policies through ILM, define and monitor archival strategies and jobs.
- Implement ILM scenarios including Snapshot, Conversion, GDPR, Retention Management & Retention Warehouse.
- Address audit requirements for custom specifications.
- Manage policies in ILM for object-specific requirements (Company Code, Sales Organization & Plant level).
- Block and retrieve archived data through PBS & AIS.
- Handle PBS add-on, PBS server, and PBS configuration.
- Work with AWS S3 or Azure Blob ILM stores.
- Perform archiving assessments and solutions, including third-party solutions.
- Archive structured and unstructured data (DMS, archive link, GOS attachments).
Requirements
- Minimum 8-15+ years of relevant experience.
- Good analytical skills.
- Experience in SAP Archiving/ILM Implementation, Deployment, or Support projects.
- Experience in at least two end-to-end SAP Archiving implementation projects.
- In-depth knowledge in Advanced SQL optimization for SAP HANA.
- Strong analytical debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Proven experience leading technical project tracks.
- SAP ILM retention management experience.
- SAP ILM system decommissioning experience.
- Experience in achieving implementation in various environments like ECC, S/4, CRM, SRM & HR etc. systems.
- Experience in PTP, OTC, FICO etc. cycle archiving of the transaction data and all other modules. Understanding the business flow of the same.
- Archiving in ECC system as part of system migration or conversion.
- Techno-functional archiving skills.
- Handling business and experience on requirements gathering process.
- Experience in the reporting tool for the effective retrieval of archived data.
- Expert in handling unstructured data solutions.
- Hands on experience on archiving testing process.
- Experience and involvement in deployment and cutover activities.
- Experience of handling team and coordination with functional and client stakeholders.
- Experience in Creation of Rules & Policies through ILM and Defining the Archiving strategy along with the execution and monitoring of the Archival jobs.
- Knowledge in the ILM scenario like ILM Snapshot, Conversion, GDPR implementation, Retention Management & Retention Warehouse.
- Knowledge in the Audit area for the custom specific requirement.
- Knowledge in the Handling of Policies in ILM for the object specific requirement like Company Code, Sales Organization & Plant level.
- Knowledge in the Blocking and the retrieval of the archived data through PBS & AIS.
- Experience of handling PBS add-on, PBS server and PBS configuration.
- Experience of working with AWS S3 or Azure Blob ILM store.
- Experience of archiving assessments and solutions including third party solutions in the market.
- ILM system decommissioning experience.
- Structured and unstructured data archiving experience e.g. DMS, archive link and GOS attachments.
