About the Role
Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Shipping Associate to accurately load and unload trailers, verify route loads, and maintain the shipping yard. This role is crucial for ensuring our consumers receive fresh products.
Responsibilities
- Accurately load and unload trailers.
- Verify route loads, trailer reports, and maintain the shipping yard.
- Count and check products for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Report overages and shortages.
- Participate in "Cycle Counts".
- Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
- Troubleshoot issues with packing equipment, label machines, tapers, and palletizers.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age or older.
- 1-3 years of shipping experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stack/unstack or carry.
- Ability to stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods.
- Comfortable in a warm working environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
