About the Role

As a Digital Pace Specialist AE, you'll be a quota-carrying overlay who partners with Core Account Executives to expand our digital footprint within existing customers. You'll own relationships with Marketing, Digital and Ecommerce leaders, while the Core AE owns the broader Sales and Service relationships. You'll drive new opportunities, expansion, whitespace and cross-sell across the Digital portfolio: Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Revenue Cloud and Data 360.

Responsibilities

  • Develop key customer stakeholder relationships, with a focus on Marketing, Digital and Ecommerce leaders, and drive customer satisfaction at assigned accounts
  • Develop and drive the overall long-term account strategy, aligned to customer business objectives
  • Partner closely with the Core AE / Account Director on account strategy and executive engagement
  • Perform account planning at assigned accounts, coordinating with Prime and Cloud sales resources to ensure strategic alignment
  • Coordinate internal Salesforce resources (Solution Engineers, Customer Success, Partners, Marketing) to meet customer business needs
  • Share the Salesforce value proposition with existing and new customers, tied to outcomes like personalization, customer data unification, commerce growth and revenue lifecycle efficiency
  • Drive growth within assigned accounts through new opportunities, expansion, whitespace and cross-sell across the Digital portfolio
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline through account mapping, outbound prospecting and joint campaigns with the Core AE
  • Forecast accurately and maintain clean pipeline hygiene in Salesforce

Requirements

  • Have an average of 5+ years of B2B & SaaS full-cycle sales experience
  • Proven ability to manage existing customer accounts to drive upsell/cross-sell, as well as acquire new logo accounts (or focus exclusively on new logos in a Hunter role)
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding quota, ideally as a specialist or overlay seller
  • Understand MarTech, Commerce, customer data or the broader Digital ecosystem (e.g., CDP, marketing automation, ecommerce platforms, CPQ/billing, data and analytics)
  • Sold to Marketing, Digital and Ecommerce buyers at the director level and above
  • Ability to build and deliver compelling presentations and business cases to customers
  • Ability to strategize with a large extended team and collaborate in a matrixed selling motion without owning the full account
  • Strong discovery, storytelling, negotiation and executive presence
  • Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, who balances hunting with account expansion
  • Experience selling into the Manufacturing, Automotive, or Retail and Consumer Goods industries
  • Experience at a MarTech, Commerce, CDP or data platform vendor (e.g., Adobe, Shopify, Braze, Snowflake, Oracle, SAP, Optimizely)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce products and the Salesforce selling motion
  • Experience with a methodology such as MEDDPICC, Command of the Message or Challenger
