About the Role
Inspired Education is seeking a Maths Teacher for a 1-year maternity cover contract. This role involves delivering online educational experiences to students aged 7-18, focusing on Maths from KS3 to KS5. The successful candidate will be passionate about student learning, experienced in creating resources, and focused on academic progress. This position is within the Maths team, reporting to the Head of Faculty and Heads of Subject, with an emphasis on sharing ideas and best practices in an online environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspire, motivate, and provide purposeful subject knowledge for students.
- Stay updated on current research and emerging pedagogy, disseminating knowledge through professional development.
- Lead in maintaining a positive and inspirational learning climate within the subject specialism.
- Support the self-evaluation of the school's effectiveness and contribute to improvement plans.
- Assist in maintaining and developing a high-quality school environment and profile.
- Act as a role model through professional conduct and disposition.
- Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and groups.
- Provide guidance and advice to students on educational matters.
- Provide or contribute to assessments, reports, and references for students in a timely manner.
- Participate in meetings and staff CPD opportunities.
- Undertake any other work specified by their line manager.
Requirements
- Expertise and experience in delivering Maths from KS3 to KS5.
- Experience from either a state school and/or independent school background.
- Passion for ensuring students are at the center of learning.
- Experience with deadlines.
- Experience in creating effective learning resources.
- Key focus on academic monitoring and progress of students.
- Excellent subject knowledge and experience teaching at Key Stage 5 (A Level or IB DP).
- Knowledge of best practices for engaging students in Maths.
- Capability to drive best practices and deliver high-quality material.
- Ability to work well within a team and courageously raise new ideas.
- Keen interest in the online teaching and learning environment.
- Passion for the learning and development of students.
- Flexible, highly energetic approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-changing, collaborative, delivery culture.
- Considerable interpersonal communication skills with the ability to form good relationships internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently when necessary but collaboratively in a team environment.
