About the Role
Support nonprofit campaigns at community events, retail locations, and other approved outreach sites by interacting directly with the public, introducing people to nonprofit programs, answering questions, encouraging participation, and assisting with daily event operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup, organization, and breakdown
- Represent nonprofit partners at community events and outreach locations
- Start conversations with members of the public in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide information about nonprofit programs, campaigns, and initiatives
- Encourage participation and support for fundraising campaigns
- Help create a positive experience for community members and event attendees
- Coordinate with team members to support daily event activities
- Work toward daily and weekly team goals
- Maintain a professional and positive presence while representing nonprofit partners
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable speaking with new people in public settings
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Reliable transportation, punctual, and dependable
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, events, promotions, sales, or fundraising is helpful but not required
