About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology and media campus by carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access control points, verify authorization for entry, and report unusual activity or policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic technology location.
Requirements
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
