About the Role
Mollie Stone’s Markets is seeking a Full Time Sous Chef for its Grand Central location. The ideal candidate will be customer service-oriented and adaptable to daily tasks, responsible for producing high-quality food for deli and catering services, working alongside the Chef to meet production goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef in carrying out day-to-day operations of the deli kitchen.
- Merchandise prepared foods in cases, hot tables, and other food stations.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Follow recipe specifications in compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment with proven catering experience (1-3 years).
- Available to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Local candidates only.
- Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to walk up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to reach up to 4 hours per day.
Skills
- Passionate about food and fresh ingredients.
- Excellent communication skills.
