About the Role
Barton Creek Country Club is seeking a Dishwasher to join their team. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of service and hospitality expected by members and guests. The position offers a dynamic work atmosphere with comprehensive training and mentorship, allowing associates to contribute to a rewarding and inspiring workplace.
Responsibilities
- Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware for dish or pot machine operation.
- Quickly wash all ware and replace in designated storage areas.
- Maintain dish machine cleanliness and water levels per hotel standards.
- De-tarnish and polish silver for proper appearance.
- Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans promptly.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
- Transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware.
- Maintain kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
- Separate and remove trash and garbage, placing it in designated containers.
- Steam-clean or hose-out garbage cans.
- Sort cardboard boxes and put through the bailing machine.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
- Scrape food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or machine.
- Run glasses through the dish machine twice.
- Understand OSHA regulations.
- Put away and rotate stock.
- Put away all clean utensils and stock in designated areas.
- Maintain personal hygiene.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the chef.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
- Must have a valid Texas Driver License.
- Must have a valid Food Handlers Certificate.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area at all times.
- Strong customer service orientation and skills.
- Excellent safety and sanitation skills.
- Create a courteous, friendly, professional work environment.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry moderate weight.
- Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time, with frequent bending and twisting.
- Must be able to utilize culinary tools (knives, commercial equipment, etc.) and taste/smell.
