  • Own the show's budget, including production costs, vendor and freelancer spend, and travel, with full P&L accountability.
  • Establish scalable systems and workflows for show and team growth.
  • Build out and lead a lean, high-performing team, including hiring, onboarding, and development.
  • Set clear goals and accountability structures, managing performance with rigor and care.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, creativity, courage, and compassion.
  • Uncover creative pathways to expand the brand’s reach.
  • Maximize relationships with distribution and platform partners to enhance placement, promotion, and discoverability.
  • Build and execute a monetization strategy across sponsorships, brand partnerships, and other revenue streams.
  • Track and report on key business metrics to stakeholders.
  • Balance commercial growth with fidelity to the show's mission.
  • Represent the show in partner and industry conversations.
  • Manage a marketing and communications team to drive audience growth across downloads, video views, and social channels.
  • Use audience and performance data to refine format, guest mix, and content strategy.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in podcast/audio or video production.
  • Cumulative 8+ years in media, podcasts, and/or business development.
  • Proven track record of scaling a podcast to chart-topping status, ideally in entrepreneurship, business, leadership, or lifestyle categories.
  • Strong business acumen, including budget ownership, partner negotiations, and monetization strategy.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading teams, including hiring, developing, and managing producers, editors, and content staff.
  • Sharp editorial judgment and storytelling instincts.
