About the Role

The Clinical Support Coordinator is an independently licensed behavioral health clinician who supports clinical quality, provider education, documentation excellence, and measurement-based care (MBC). This role helps translate quality initiatives into practical provider support, effective workflows, and measurable outcomes through provider consultations, workshop facilitation, chart reviews, and targeted follow-up.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized provider support, addressing documentation concerns, reviewing chart findings, and establishing practical next steps.
  • Lead workshops and develop resources on documentation, measurement-based care (MBC), and recurring quality concerns.
  • Support meaningful MBC engagement by helping providers incorporate client feedback and outcome measures into clinical workflows.
  • Conduct clinically informed chart reviews, assessing documentation of clinical assessment, medical necessity, treatment planning, interventions, progress, and risk.
  • Evaluate AI-assisted review findings, applying clinical judgment to validate automated findings and translate results into actionable provider feedback.
  • Address provider outlier patterns by assessing flagged documentation, quality, and engagement trends, conducting targeted outreach, and escalating unresolved concerns.
  • Coordinate chart review and audit workflows, managing assigned review requests, deadlines, and provider communications.
  • Monitor progress and inform improvement by maintaining accurate records and recommending updates to educational resources and review processes.
  • Collaborate across teams, including clinical leadership, Compliance, Billing, and Provider Services, to resolve concerns and coordinate issues.
  • Manage work independently, prioritizing assigned work, managing competing deadlines, and communicating emerging risks or issues.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Active, unrestricted license permitting independent clinical practice in a behavioral health discipline (LMHC, LPC, CMHC, PsyD, PhD, etc.).
  • Minimum of five years of post-licensure experience in behavioral health clinical practice or a related clinical role.
  • Demonstrated clinical judgment and confidence in assessing documentation, identifying meaningful quality concerns, and communicating clinically grounded recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health assessment, medical necessity, treatment planning, progress documentation, risk assessment, and ethical practice.
  • Ability to explain clinical reasoning clearly, navigate difficult conversations, and recognize the limits of available information and personal expertise.
  • Experience educating, consulting with, or providing substantive feedback to fellow clinicians.
  • Ability to develop provider-facing materials and facilitate engaging, practical workshops.
  • Working knowledge of measurement-based care and its application in behavioral health.
  • Strong organizational skills, independent prioritization, and consistent follow-through.
  • Comfort using electronic health records, spreadsheets, tracking tools, and clinical technology platforms.
  • Enjoys moving quickly with some degree of ambiguity.
  • Experience in a multi-state or MSO (Managed Services Organization) behavioral health environment.
  • Experience with behavioral health chart review, clinical quality improvement, utilization review, or payor audits.
  • Experience supporting independent clinicians in a multi-state provider network or management services organization.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted chart review tools and experience evaluating automated findings using clinical judgment.
  • Experience supporting MBC implementation, provider adoption, or engagement improvement.
  • Experience interpreting provider-level performance data and translating findings into targeted education or follow-up.
  • Familiarity with payor documentation expectations and collaboration with billing, coding, and compliance teams.
