This is a 6-month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support compute, storage, networking, backup, and disaster recovery infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance, capacity, logs, and infrastructure health, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Coordinate hardware installations, maintenance, upgrades, and infrastructure changes with internal teams and service providers.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments within VMware infrastructure.
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and print services.
  • Manage server patching, security updates, antivirus, firewalls, permissions, and access controls.
  • Troubleshoot complex server, application, and network connectivity issues.

  • Support the transition of legacy infrastructure to modern hybrid-cloud environments.
  • Contribute technical expertise to infrastructure automation, orchestration, optimization, and standardization.
  • Partner with cross-functional IT teams to deliver infrastructure projects aligned with enterprise technology standards.
  • Maintain infrastructure security controls and support compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and internal standards.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents involving servers, storage, compute, or network services.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis, implementing long-term solutions to recurring issues.
  • Partner with security and governance teams on audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Work independently on complex infrastructure issues and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Work with vendors and third-party providers to resolve issues and support infrastructure initiatives.
  • Evaluate technologies that improve infrastructure performance, scalability, security, and resiliency.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, configuration standards, troubleshooting guides, and operating procedures.

Requirements
