About the Role
As CBC News prioritizes the needs of mobile and streaming audiences and delivers content that aligns with our strategic objectives, we are looking for a Senior Producer of Video Experience to help connect our content with those audiences. You can clearly communicate those needs to a news operation producing daily news video. Through assignments, publishing and other editorial work, you ensure accuracy and balance, as well as compelling visual direction and storytelling on CBC News-branded channels. As a strong critical thinker, you make decisions in line with the CBC Journalistic Standards and Practices and the overall audience strategy. You drive the editorial agenda on our video channels by responding to audience needs and trends and innovate to grow the audience. You prioritize the audience’s needs. You inspire others to do the same. Collaborative work is vital in this role as you nurture relationships across the News, Local & Current Affairs division to achieve shared goals. You strengthen our team with inclusive, creative ideas, and encourage open discussions.
