About the Role

We are seeking a Business Systems Engineer to manage the systems responsible for transforming signed deals into accurate invoices and revenue figures. This role involves working across our go-to-market and finance technology stack, including CRM, quoting and CPQ, billing, and the data warehouse, along with their integrations. While Salesforce is a component, the role encompasses broader system responsibilities. It is an engineering position with business ownership, requiring the design of data and money movement between Sales, Finance, Billing Ops, and Data teams, building automation for synchronization, and leveraging AI to reduce manual tasks and provide timely insights.

Responsibilities

Create a reliable GTM and quote-to-cash foundation across CRM, CPQ, billing and finance systems, marketing automation infrastructure, the data warehouse, and their integrations.
Develop a clear understanding of critical data flows between GTM systems, finance systems, and the warehouse, and implement an initial improvement to a high-value integration or workflow.
Develop AI-powered and agent-based workflows to reduce manual work for reps, Deal Desk, and Billing Ops, while enhancing the quality of signals available to reps and operators.
Automate billing-critical workflows such as upgrades and prorated refunds, early renewals, true-ups, and credit deferment, ensuring audit trails for Finance.
Improve data integrity and reporting through clear data models, deduplication, validation rules, reconciliation, and monitoring, including accurate ARR, pipeline, dashboard, and forecasting infrastructure.
Enhance team operational standards through sound access, change management, and release practices; thoughtful documentation and tool decisions; reusable tests, runbooks, code review, and AI-assisted development practices.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in business systems engineering, GTM engineering, revenue operations, or a technical sales or marketing operations role, with the ability to own problems end to end and work effectively across functions.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with a data warehouse such as Snowflake or BigQuery; design for clean, traceable data and understand how to protect its integrity across systems.
Experience building integrations with APIs, webhooks, event-driven services, reverse ETL, or automation platforms such as Zapier, Workato, or Tray.io.
Familiarity with finance systems and concepts such as quote-to-cash, billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition, and the ability to work effectively with Finance and Billing Ops.
Genuine curiosity about AI, with experience applying it to day-to-day work through AI-assisted development, agents, or workflow automation.
