About the Role
Caravel Law is seeking experienced legal professionals to join their innovative firm. Lawyers combine Big Law training with in-house experience, embedding directly with clients to deliver sophisticated, business-minded counsel without the overhead, hierarchy, or billable hours targets of traditional firms. The firm focuses on deals closed, risks avoided, and businesses built, offering lawyers control over their practice, direct client contact, and a supportive community. Caravel is growing rapidly and utilizes a dedicated legal innovation function and AI-enabled delivery.
Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Providing practical, business-oriented legal advice.
- Building effective relationships across the business.
Requirements
- A law degree.
- Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ legal practice experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracting principles and general business law.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- A practical, business-oriented approach to legal advice.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
- Practical related in-house and/or private practice experience.
