About the Role
Sid Harvey's, an HVAC wholesale distributor, is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate for its Medford, New York location. This role involves providing excellent customer service, efficient order processing, and ensuring safe handling of products and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Pass a drug test.
- Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner.
- Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
- Continuously update product knowledge and stay informed about product inventory and applicability.
- Know the location of merchandise in the warehouse.
- Accurately fill customer orders by retrieving requested material.
- Accurately and safely load and unload trucks.
- Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality.
- Maintain clear aisles and walkways.
- Ensure material is properly organized.
- Assist in maintaining the appearance of the branch by straightening and cleaning counter areas, warehouse, and bathrooms.
- Report back orders and material discrepancies to the Branch Manager.
- Accurately perform cycle counts.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety rules.
- Inform manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
- Perform forklift inspections as required.
- Assist in year-end physical inventories.
- Perform other responsibilities as directed.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a Drug Test.
- Must be able to stand; walk; carry and or reach.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to talk or hear.
- Must be able to read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processing, etc.
- Must be able to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks.
- Must be able to safely operate a forklift and or pallet jack.
