About the Role

The Content Pipeline & Acquisition Executive supports the International Formats team and Sony’s global unscripted production companies in driving catalogue sales. This role involves identifying marketable projects, tracking development pipelines, and supporting the creation of sales materials. The executive will also monitor and assist in sourcing third-party acquisitions, build relationships with IP creators, and coordinate internal acquisition reviews.

Responsibilities

Manage regular touchpoints with all unscripted Opcos for timely product information exchange.
Gather materials from Sony op cos and maintain up-to-date information on current slate priorities and pipelines.
Maintain a database of assets for titles in development and production.
Update internal trackers with information on current, in-development, and older titles.
Identify potential titles of interest for international format sales teams and create sales briefing documents.
Keep Opcos regularly updated with global sales and production activity.
Create and update Sales Briefing notes and other assets.
Create strategic/competitor analysis and contribute to territory rollout strategy.
Brief the marketing team on required assets, tone, content, and format elements.
Assist marketing with the creation and updating of format promos.
Script and create format pitches.
Lead client and acquisition pitches.
Contribute to monthly format update sales presentations.
Create client pitches, including presenting in person and remotely.
Manage the creation of product presentations for key markets.
Source appropriate screeners and up-to-date marketing material for new and catalogue titles.
Provide product updates to the International Production team and assist with creative development of existing titles.
Act as a pivotal member of a cross-department team to determine unscripted acquisition strategy.
Establish contact and build relationships with 3rd party creators/producers.
Track and manage the internal review process of all 3rd party projects.
Support the team in creating an acquisition strategy with market and trend information.
Research and build relationships with creators with potential acquisition ideas.
Track and manage the internal process of 3rd party ideas across multiple international teams.
Track sales activity for existing 3rd party formats and compile sales activity reports.
Provide information for competitive landscape analysis for potential acquisitions.
Provide relevant and timely specialist market knowledge for unscripted formats.
Track international format trends and significant updates via industry sources.
Organize and manage regular market updates for Opcos and Sales teams.
Co-ordinate special projects with Sony’s Research teams in each region.
Source 3rd party screeners or detailed information as required.

Requirements

3-5 years in TV production/distribution.
12 months in an unscripted acquisition and/or development role.
Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Passionate and knowledgeable about the unscripted format TV Landscape both in the UK and internationally.
Knowledge of key players in the unscripted format landscape.
Exceptionally organized with the proven ability to collaborate with multiple teams across different time zones.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships.
Excellent writing skills with first-class attention to detail.
Excellent verbal communication skills with experience in presenting both in person and remotely.
Self-motivated team player and facilitator.
Ability to coordinate and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in the United Kingdom.
