About the Role
We are seeking three full-time Exercise Specialists to support healthy lifestyle habits at a high-profile company’s fitness center in downtown Manhattan, NYC.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fitness consultations, including movement screens, needs analyses, and goal setting, to recommend appropriate fitness programming and wellness services.
- Develop progressive fitness programming to support and motivate participants.
- Monitor, engage, and instruct participants on the safe and effective use of fitness equipment.
- Educate participants on health and fitness information, programming, and wellness services.
- Complete internal development courses.
- Maintain a positive customer and client experience by providing high-quality service.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Industry knowledge in exercise testing and prescription.
- Ability to operate various fitness tools and equipment.
- Ability to network, engage, and interact with clients, guests, and members.
- Competence with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.
