About the Role
The 33 Seaport Hotel NYC has an immediate opening for an experienced Bartender to serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. This role also involves preparing beverages, acting as a cashier for the lounge, and maintaining bar set-up and inventory.
Responsibilities
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis.
- Requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, and produce.
- Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily.
- Greet guests courteously and friendly, promote and document orders for drinks.
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
- Abide by all State, Federal, and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
- Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest.
- Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
- Lock up and store all beverage, food, and other equipment items, deposit cash drops, and secure the bank.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One year of experience as a Bartender.
- Tips (or equivalent) and Food handlers certifications.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a busy fast-paced environment.
